Help me connect Adeli to Zapier so it can publish posts, read analytics, and manage comments and DMs on my social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X). Some steps are in a settings screen only I can click, so walk me through those one at a time.

Full instructions: https://www.tryadeli.com/agents/zapier.md

About Adeli:
- MCP server: https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP)
- Auth: header `Authorization: Bearer <ADELI_API_KEY>`. API key only, no OAuth.
- REST API with the same key: https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1
- Docs for agents: https://app.tryadeli.com/docs/llms.txt

Do this:
1. Ask me for my Adeli API key (it starts with rk_live_). If I don't have one, tell me to sign up free at https://app.tryadeli.com, connect my social accounts, and create a key at https://app.tryadeli.com/settings/api-keys. Keep the key out of chat logs, public files, and git; store it in an environment variable or the app's secret settings.
2. You can't build Zaps directly, so guide me step by step. First choice: Apps → + Add connection → MCP Client, Server URL https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp, Transport Streamable HTTP, OAuth No, Bearer Token = my Adeli API key. Then add an MCP Client → Run Tool action in my Zap and pick the Adeli tool.
3. If MCP Client won't connect, fall back to Webhooks by Zapier → POST to https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1/posts with header Authorization: Bearer <my key>. Read Adeli's API docs (https://app.tryadeli.com/docs/llms.txt) for the exact JSON body, and tell me which Zapier fields to map.
4. If you have a terminal or Adeli's MCP server connected, call list_accounts (or GET /api/v1/accounts) to find the accountId I need, and give it to me.
5. Verify: call the list_accounts tool (or GET https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1/accounts) and show me my connected accounts. A 401 means the key is wrong or revoked.

Rules once connected:
- Always ask me before you publish, reply, send a message, delete, or disconnect anything. These act on my real accounts.
- Start with list_accounts and use its accountId values. Leave profileId out.
- For TikTok and YouTube video, pass a public HTTPS video URL, not a file upload.

Get your Adeli API key

Whether your agent sets this up or you do, you need one thing from Adeli first.

  1. Create a free Adeli account. Sign in with Google. Your first 3 connected accounts are free and no credit card is required.
  2. Connect your social accounts in the Adeli dashboard (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or X).
  3. Create an API key under Settings → API keys. It starts with rk_live_. Treat it like a password: paste it into your agent’s settings or your terminal, never into a public file or a shared chat.
set it up yourself

Connect Zapier by hand

Prefer to do it yourself? Follow these steps. They take about two minutes.

Run Adeli's tools as Zap actions. The step lists Adeli's tools for you to pick from, so you don't have to write a request body.

  1. Create an Adeli API key

Sign in to Adeli, connect your social accounts, then go to Settings → API keys and create a key. It starts with rk_live_. Copy it somewhere safe; you'll paste it in a moment.

  2. Connect Adeli as an MCP Client

In Zapier, go to Apps → + Add connection and search for MCP Client. Server URL: https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp Transport: Streamable HTTP OAuth: No Bearer Token: your Adeli API key (rk_live_…). Then click Yes, Continue to MCP Client.

  3. Add a Run Tool action

In your Zap, after the trigger, add MCP Client → Run Tool, choose the Adeli connection, then pick a tool (create_post to publish, list_accounts to look up account IDs) and map its fields from your trigger. Use Run Read-Only Tool for steps that only read.

  4. Test the step

Zapier sends a real request when you test. Run list_accounts first, and test create_post against a test account. If the connection fails with a 401, recreate it with "Bearer rk_live_…" in the token field.

try it out

Things to ask once it's connected

  • When a Google Sheet row's Status changes to Ready, post its Caption and Image URL to Instagram.
  • When I publish a new blog post (RSS), share it on X and Facebook.
  • Every Friday, pull my TikTok account insights and email me the summary.

Your agent asks before it posts, replies, or sends a message. The full tool list is in the MCP tools reference.

Zapier faq

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an Adeli app in the Zapier directory?

Not yet. MCP Client by Zapier connects to Adeli's MCP server and lists its tools, which does the same job. Webhooks by Zapier calls the REST API directly.

MCP Client or Webhooks: which should I use?

MCP Client when you want to pick an Adeli tool from a list and map fields. Webhooks when you want the most predictable setup, or if the MCP Client beta gives you connection trouble.

Can Zapier Agents use Adeli?

Zapier Agents run Zapier actions, so they can use Adeli through the MCP Client or Webhooks actions above. For an agent that picks tools on its own, Claude, Codex, Cursor, and n8n connect to Adeli's MCP server directly.
