Connect Adeli to n8n
Post, schedule, reply to comments or messages, and read analytics on social accounts you own, all within n8n.
Paste this into Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI chat
Set up Adeli from tryadeli.com/agents/n8nIt reads this page, asks for your Adeli API key, and walks you through each click in n8n.
Or send the full prompt
Use this if your agent can't open links, or if you'd rather give it everything in one message. It covers the same setup as the link above.
Help me connect Adeli to n8n so it can publish posts, read analytics, and manage comments and DMs on my social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X). Some steps are in a settings screen only I can click, so walk me through those one at a time.

About Adeli:
- MCP server: https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP)
- Auth: header `Authorization: Bearer <ADELI_API_KEY>`. API key only, no OAuth.
- REST API with the same key: https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1
- Docs for agents: https://app.tryadeli.com/docs/llms.txt
Do this:
1. Ask me for my Adeli API key (it starts with rk_live_). If I don't have one, tell me to sign up free at https://app.tryadeli.com, connect my social accounts, and create a key at https://app.tryadeli.com/settings/api-keys. Keep the key out of chat logs, public files, and git; store it in an environment variable or the app's secret settings.
2. You can't edit my n8n workflow yourself, so guide me step by step: on the AI Agent node, add a Tool → MCP Client Tool. Endpoint https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp, Server Transport "HTTP Streamable", Authentication "Bearer Auth" with a new credential holding my Adeli API key. Tools to Include: All.
3. If I want a fixed workflow with no AI, guide me through an HTTP Request node to https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1 with Bearer Auth instead, starting with GET /accounts.
4. If you have the n8n MCP server or API connected and can create workflows, build a minimal workflow with a Chat Trigger → AI Agent → MCP Client Tool configured as above, and ask me to add the Bearer credential in the n8n UI.
5. Verify: call the list_accounts tool (or GET https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1/accounts) and show me my connected accounts. A 401 means the key is wrong or revoked.
Rules once connected:
- Always ask me before you publish, reply, send a message, delete, or disconnect anything. These act on my real accounts.
- Start with list_accounts and use its accountId values. Leave profileId out.
- For TikTok and YouTube video, pass a public HTTPS video URL, not a file upload.Get your Adeli API key
Whether your agent sets this up or you do, you need one thing from Adeli first.
- Create a free Adeli account. Sign in with Google. Your first 3 connected accounts are free and no credit card is required.
- Connect your social accounts in the Adeli dashboard (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or X).
- Create an API key under Settings → API keys. It starts with
rk_live_. Treat it like a password: paste it into your agent’s settings or your terminal, never into a public file or a shared chat.
Connect n8n by hand
Prefer to do it yourself? Follow these steps. They take about two minutes.
Best when you want an AI Agent to decide what to post or how to reply.
Create an Adeli API key
Sign in to Adeli, connect your social accounts, then go to Settings → API keys and create a key. It starts with rk_live_. Copy it somewhere safe; you'll paste it in a moment.
Add an MCP Client Tool to your AI Agent
In your workflow, open the AI Agent node's Tool connector, click +, and choose MCP Client Tool.
Point it at Adeli
Endpoint: https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp Server Transport: HTTP Streamable Authentication: Bearer Auth, then create a new Bearer Auth credential and paste your Adeli API key (just rk_live_…, without the word Bearer). Tools to Include: All, or pick only the ones this workflow needs.
Run it
Execute the workflow with a prompt like "List my Adeli accounts." The agent's log shows each Adeli tool call.
Best when every run does the same thing, like publishing whatever is in a spreadsheet row. No AI needed.
Create an Adeli API key
Sign in to Adeli, connect your social accounts, then go to Settings → API keys and create a key. It starts with rk_live_. Copy it somewhere safe; you'll paste it in a moment.
Add an HTTP Request node
Method: POST URL: https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1/posts Authentication: Generic → Bearer Auth with your Adeli API key Body: JSON, using the shape in Adeli's API docs for the platform you're posting to.
Test with a read first
Before publishing, try a GET to /api/v1/accounts to confirm the key works and to get the accountId your post needs.
Equivalent cURLcurl -s https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1/accounts \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $ADELI_API_KEY"
Things to ask once it's connected
- List my connected Adeli accounts and tell me which platforms they're on.
- Every morning, post the next row of my 'Queue' Google Sheet to Instagram and mark it Posted.
- When a comment on my latest YouTube video asks a question, draft a reply and send it to Slack for approval.
Your agent asks before it posts, replies, or sends a message. The full tool list is in the MCP tools reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I use the MCP Client Tool or an HTTP Request node?
MCP Client Tool when an AI Agent should choose what to do (which tool, what to say). HTTP Request when every run does the same fixed thing. That's cheaper and more predictable.
Does this work on n8n Cloud and self-hosted?
Yes. The MCP Client Tool and HTTP Request nodes ship with n8n on both. Self-hosted installs need outbound HTTPS to app.tryadeli.com.
