Connect Adeli to Notion
Post, schedule, reply to comments or messages, and read analytics on social accounts you own, all within Notion.
Paste this into your Notion Custom Agent, or any AI chat
Set up Adeli from tryadeli.com/agents/notionIt reads this page, asks for your Adeli API key, and walks you through each click in Notion.
Or send the full prompt
Use this if your agent can't open links, or if you'd rather give it everything in one message. It covers the same setup as the link above.
Help me connect Adeli to Notion so it can publish posts, read analytics, and manage comments and DMs on my social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X). Some steps are in a settings screen only I can click, so walk me through those one at a time.

About Adeli:
- MCP server: https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP)
- Auth: header `Authorization: Bearer <ADELI_API_KEY>`. API key only, no OAuth.
- REST API with the same key: https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1
- Docs for agents: https://app.tryadeli.com/docs/llms.txt
Do this:
1. Ask me for my Adeli API key (it starts with rk_live_). If I don't have one, tell me to sign up free at https://app.tryadeli.com, connect my social accounts, and create a key at https://app.tryadeli.com/settings/api-keys. Keep the key out of chat logs, public files, and git; store it in an environment variable or the app's secret settings.
2. If you are a Notion Custom Agent: you can't add connections yourself, so walk me through it one step at a time. (a) A workspace admin enables Settings → Connections → Manage → Enable custom MCP servers. (b) In this agent's Settings → Tools & Access → Add connection → Custom MCP server, URL https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp, header Authorization = "Bearer " + my Adeli API key, then Connect. Wait for me to confirm each step.
3. If you are another agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Manus): make sure Adeli is connected (follow your own setup page at https://www.tryadeli.com/agents) and that Notion's MCP server (https://mcp.notion.com/mcp) is connected too.
4. Once connected, find my content calendar database in Notion and tell me which posts are ready to publish.
5. Verify: call the list_accounts tool (or GET https://app.tryadeli.com/api/v1/accounts) and show me my connected accounts. A 401 means the key is wrong or revoked.
Rules once connected:
- Always ask me before you publish, reply, send a message, delete, or disconnect anything. These act on my real accounts.
- Start with list_accounts and use its accountId values. Leave profileId out.
- For TikTok and YouTube video, pass a public HTTPS video URL, not a file upload.Get your Adeli API key
Whether your agent sets this up or you do, you need one thing from Adeli first.
- Create a free Adeli account. Sign in with Google. Your first 3 connected accounts are free and no credit card is required.
- Connect your social accounts in the Adeli dashboard (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or X).
- Create an API key under Settings → API keys. It starts with
rk_live_. Treat it like a password: paste it into your agent’s settings or your terminal, never into a public file or a shared chat.
Connect Notion by hand
Prefer to do it yourself? Follow these steps. They take about two minutes.
For Business and Enterprise workspaces. A workspace admin does step 2 once. After that, anyone can add Adeli to their Custom Agents.
Create an Adeli API key
Sign in to Adeli, connect your social accounts, then go to Settings → API keys and create a key. It starts with rk_live_. Copy it somewhere safe; you'll paste it in a moment.
Let the workspace use custom MCP servers (admin, once)
A workspace admin opens Settings → Connections → Manage and turns on Enable custom MCP servers. If your workspace limits which connections members can install, approve Adeli there too.
Add Adeli to your Custom Agent
Open the Custom Agent's Settings → Tools & Access → Add connection → Custom MCP server. URL: https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp Display name: Adeli Authentication: header / API key, with the header Authorization set to the value below. Then click Connect.
Authorization header valueBearer rk_live_YOUR_KEYPick the tools it can use
Expand Adeli in the agent's connections and switch tools on or off. For a publishing agent, keep list_accounts, create_post, and list_posts on. Turn on the analytics tools if you want reporting.
Not on Business or Enterprise? Connect Notion and Adeli to the same agent. This example uses Claude Code. Cursor, Codex, and Manus work the same way.
Create an Adeli API key
Sign in to Adeli, connect your social accounts, then go to Settings → API keys and create a key. It starts with rk_live_. Copy it somewhere safe; you'll paste it in a moment.
Connect Adeli to your agent
Follow the setup for your agent: Claude, ChatGPT (Codex), Cursor, or Manus. It takes about two minutes.
Terminal (Claude Code)claude mcp add --transport http adeli https://app.tryadeli.com/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer $ADELI_API_KEY"Connect Notion to the same agent
Add Notion's official MCP server. It signs in with your Notion account.
Terminal (Claude Code)claude mcp add --transport http notion https://mcp.notion.com/mcpAsk it to publish from your calendar
For example: "Find posts in my Content Calendar database with Status = Ready and today's date, publish each one through Adeli, then set Status to Posted and paste the live link."
Things to ask once it's connected
- Publish every post in my Content Calendar marked Ready for today, then mark each one Posted with the live link.
- Pull last week's analytics for everything we posted and add reach and likes to each calendar entry.
- List my connected Adeli accounts and tell me which platforms they're on.
Your agent asks before it posts, replies, or sends a message. The full tool list is in the MCP tools reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Notion plans can add Adeli?
Custom MCP servers are for Notion Custom Agents on Business and Enterprise plans, and an admin enables them under Settings → Connections. On other plans, run the workflow from an agent that has both Notion and Adeli connected.
Does Adeli read my Notion pages?
No. Adeli only touches your social accounts. Your Notion agent reads the page and passes the post content to Adeli's tools.
Can a Notion agent post without me approving it?
You decide which Adeli tools the agent can use. Leave create_post off for an agent that only drafts and reports, or turn it on for one you trust to publish.
